Nigel Drayton, Restaurateur/Executive Chef, along with his wife/partner Louise own two Nigel’s Good Food locations and a BBQ joint called the Slaughter House. Prior to opening his own place he worked his way up the culinary ladder in is home town of Charleston, SC. He started this industry at 15 years old as bus boy and at the age of 25 held his first Kitchen Manager position. His talents and skills accomplished his winning First place in the Oyster Recipe Contest back in 2005, and he placed 2nd and 3rd the next two years.

 

Now, his restaurants, year after year, have been recognized as best and ranked as #1 restaurant by the Geechie One Awards, Trip Advisor and others. Nigel and Louise Drayton are focused on the growth of “Nigel’s Good Food”, “The Slaughter House BBQ and Brew” and manifesting their other restaurant ideas under their brand, by Nigel’s. Nigel is a very family oriented man, claiming his very own family as his driving force to push forward. And with Louise’s support, Nigel aims to be a staple in the community, a history making Legend.

Hanahan Amphitheater

The Hanahan Amphitheater is located at 3100 Amphitheater Avenue in Hanahan, South Carolina. The City Park is opened daily from dawn to dusk and features many amenities for your enjoyment. The City Park hosts a wonderful view of the Goose Creek Reservoir and features a walking trail surrounding the complex.

 

Located in Hanahan and right behind the Hanahan Senior Center, this facility offers both beauty and functionality for hosting special events, concerts, theater, weddings, festivals and many other community and corporate activities. With an available seating capacity of over 2,500 the Amphitheater and community park was designed and built to be a one of a kind venue in the Tri-County area. Initially conceived by the City of Hanahan and community leaders, the Hanahan Amphitheater boasts an impressive stage area with a covered roof which has been designed with both acoustics and beauty in mind. It provides the opportunity to host everything from a large community orchestra or concert to a more intimate event such as a wedding.

 

This unique five acre venue is centrally located in beautiful Berkeley County, South Carolina with a stunning view of the Goose Creek Reservoir and meticulous landscaping as well as a serene and scenic one mile walking trail. The City Park is pet friendly and includes a few locations aimed at providing water for your animals during the walk.

The Hawks Nest Park

The Hawks Nest Park is Hanahan’s newest park located at 1177 Williams Lane, near Bowens Corner Elementary School. This park features 6 tennis courts, a sand volleyball court, multipurpose field, artificial turf field, playground, fishing ponds, basketball court, two baseball/softball fields and pavilion.

Hanahan Recreation Complex

Located on Rail Road Avenue, this is the gateway to Hanahan Recreation complex.The Hanahan Recreation Complex is approximately 53 acres.
